Giacomo Antonio Mori, medal of Paul V commemorating construction of the façade of St. Peter's Basilica with the design of Carlo Maderno, 1613, argento, 33.20 mm.
Maderno's original project included the presence of two bell towers. Their construction began in September 1612, but it was soon stopped, due to a subsidence of their foundations. This medal represents the first step of the project. The definitive one was celebrated by the annual medal of the 9th year of pontificate (1613).
